Yesterday (August 30), the Violator Management founder was found dead of an apparent suicide in his Riverdale, Bronx apartment at 11:33 a.m. with "self-inflicted gunshot wounds" to the head, according to the New York Police Department. He was 44. Ludacris is working hard on his forthcoming new album 'Ludaversal' and has decided on his second single, ‘Representing’ featuring friend Kelly Rowland. The song which aspires to give more power to the woman was premiered earlier in the day by V-103 Atlanta.

UPDATE: NY Daily news has also confirmed the death. According to Police, it is an apparent case of suicide. A gun was recovered next to his body in his apartment. He was 44 and owed about $5 million to the IRS.
UPDATE 2: 50 Cent was currently closely working with him on some important business ventures, apart from just usual music projects. He has released the following statement:
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend and business partner Chris Lighty. Chris has been an important part of my business and personal growth for a decade. He was a good friend and advisor who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed.”
